PSKC

Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) is a long-term study to track the growth process of Korean children. Currently being conducted by the KICCE-a national research institute under the Prime Minister’s office-PSKC is the first national panel study on newborn babies in Korea.

Sampling Design

  • Aims at collecting data on the growth and development of the panel by additionally conducting in-depth study on children's development.
  • In-depth study is conducted in 2009, 2013, and 2015, totaling three times during the PSKC study period, from 2008 to 2020.

1st In-Depth Study Target

  • Study PopulationAmong 2,562 households that have completed the home visiting interview conducted in the second year (2009), 214 applicants through the website of PSKC during the month of September, 2009 became the participants in the in-depth study
  • Participants in the 1st in-depth studyConsidering the possibility of dropping out , six households were added in areas where the standard quota have not been met. Sample size was 220. Among them, 206 households have completed all the tests of the in-depth study between October and December, 2009.
