The 5th KICCE East Asia Policy Seminar: Kindergarten Evaluation in China and Korea: Current Status, Challenges, and Strategies

 

The 5th KICCE East Asia Policy Seminar was held on the 31st of October, 2019. The main focus of the seminar was on “Kindergarten Evaluation in China and Korea: Current Status, Challenges, and Strategies”. The seminar was co-hosted by Korea Open Association for Early Childhood Education, and sponsored by Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. Won-soon Park (Associate Fellow, KICCE) presented a paper on the current status and issues in kindergarten evaluation in China and Korea, followed a presentation delivered by Moo-Kyun Moon (Senior Researcher, KICCE) on Kindergarten Evaluation in China and Korea: Challenges and Strategies. Prof. Kyung-Cheol Kim (Korea National University of Education), Pro. Jeong-Hee Jeong (Kyungbook University), and Sung-Sook Jin (Head of Seoul Eungok Kindergarten/ former president of Seoul Early Childhood Education & Promotion Center) participated in the panel discussion to share their knowledge on the Chinese kindergarten evaluation system and future directions for Korean kindergarten evaluation system.
