Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) hosted the "4th ECEC Policy Symposium of 2023" at the KICCE grand conference room, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 14. The symposium was titled 'Premises for Advancing Parenting Support on Infants: systematization of parenting support policies and strengthening data-based policies'. In the first presentation, Lee Jeong-won, Senior Research Fellow at KICCE, suggested the keynote and status of parenting support policy for infants and the direction of its improvement according policy changes, which was based on 'Policy Requirements for Systematization of Parenting Support Policy on Infants and the Current Status'. Following this, Do Nam-hee, Senior Research Fellow at KICCE, proposed the establishment of a production system for infancy data and a comprehensive fact-finding survey for infants with emphasizing the importance of establishing infancy data, which was based on 'Integration Status of Infants Data and Policy Issues'. In the comprehensive discussion, Professor Hwang Ok-kyung at Seoul Theological University, An Hyun-Mi, Director of the Care Policy & Gender Research Center, Professor An Jae-jin at Gachon University, Oh Mi-Ae, Researcher at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, participated.
